[Pixels of] A Day in Cameron Highlands.

Yes you’ve read it right. We spent just a day on Cameron Highlands, both Yone & I. We drove up from Shah Alam and it took us 3 hours to reach Sungai Palas Boh Tea Centre in Brinchang, one of my favorite places on Earth. The tea plantation was breathtaking and I felt a sense of overwhelming calmness when we reached our destination. Yes again, I know it is an oxymoron, but the calmness I felt made me forget the world for a little while.

Brunch was simple yet filling enough to fuel our one day adventure. We had scone with cream and yummy strawberry jam, mushroom soup, tuna sandwich and strawberry pie. Of course we cannot skip tea, mine was Mango flavored tea in a mug and Yone’s was the Palas Supreme in a teapot.

We managed to get a table on the balcony which hangs over the tea plantation. the green hills were a welcoming sight for sore eyes and the weather was sunny and perfect.

After brunch and a LOT of photo sessions later, we visited the local market to hunt for strawberries, fresh flowers, vegetables and cactus. We spent most of our time there to analyze each and every strawberry to make sure we bring home the best ones. Yone was overwhelmed by the choices of fresh flowers available around us; we ended up bringing home carnations, roses, baby’s breath and lavender.

It definitely was a short & sweet escape for us. πŸ˜‰
