Welcome to Universal Studios Singapore!
Adrenaline junkie. That’s me. So roller coasters are my best friends. The longer, higher, faster, the better 😉 So lady luck was on my side when I managed to book dirt cheap flight tickets down south and took 3 of my girlfriends with me. They definitely did not have any idea what was in store for them hehehe.
There were 4 main attractions – Transformers 4D, Human, Cylon and Mummy. And we went on all that, in that order, without taking a break. We wanted to avoid the crowd and long queues. As soon as the gates were opened, we ran straight to the big coasters while everyone was busy taking pictures. Ayu got this valuable tip from her boss.
We were dizzy by the time we got off the fourth roller coaster. Hehe.
After lunch, we went to see the Waterworld live show. Be careful in choosing your seats, we were in the Splash Zone and felt a few sprays of water. The boy in the Soak Zone got 2 buckets of water poured over his head!
Our strategy was to explore the theme park anti-clockwise. Here comes a confession. Eventhough im not the most girly girl in the world who loves pink and unicorns and rainbows all the time, I do get excited to see castles. Hence my favorite part of the park is Far, Far Away 😀 The Shrek 4D show was also beyondddd awesome and it made me feel like a kid again. We really felt like we were a part of the show.
Madagascar was cute too, but mainly catered to kids. My friends went on the carousel but I was too light headed because of the heat to participate. We bought water bottles with smoothies as souvenirs; definitely felt like a tourist :p
The events that completed the whole theme park experience were the parade and street performers. The parade is only available on Friday to Sunday. I definitely felt like I was in a fantasy world and real life felt so far away :p
Everything around us was beautiful and magical. I can just stand in a spot and stare at the building façade around me. They really paid attention to detail when they designed the whole park.
No matter how old I am, theme parks always get me giddy and excited. Combined with sharing the experience with my girlfriends, it was definitely another quick weekend getaway that I will never forget. :’)
