Berlin, Germany

Oh hello, June!

I just came out of my very own cave that I slowly built around myself during the examination period. Finally feel like myself again! It just rained here in Manchester, it rains everyday. One second the sun is shining so brightly that it blinds me, and the next second it pours down cats and dogs on me. I just had the most awesome nap and woke up feeling half dead as usual.

Time to update on the April trip! We traveled from the 5th to 19th of April. The route that we finally decided upon was one that was “inspired” by the price of our flight tickets. Which way should we go? The cheapest way! Haha.

London – Berlin – Prague – Rome – Milan – Venice – Nice – Monte Carlo – Cannes

So here’s the first part of the trip – two days and one night in Berlin.

We joined the free walking tour to get to know the city since we had limited time in Berlin. The tour guide was an American girl who left her full time job and moved permanently to Berlin. She took us around to see the iconic Brandenburg Gate, the Jewish Memorial, the Berlin Wall, Fuhrer Bunker and a few other places. We then went our own way to visit the famous Ritter Sport Chocolate World and another part of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery.

We then boarded the 4.00 am train to Prague, Czech Republic and slept on the train. Read all about Prague in the next post! 😀
